Organisation Overview
Nisarga are a well established foundation based in the district of Karnataka in the Southern region of India. They aim to support, protect and empower the indigenous forest dwelling 'Adivasi Tribe' whose livelihoods face numerous conflicts.
Through an vital program of education, training, medical support, awareness and political advocacy, the organisation actively ensure the health and well-being of the infants, children and young mothers of the tribe, enable positive socio-economic, cultural and political empowerment in the indigenous areas, while protecting the environment and nurturing the biodiversity of the tribal lands.
They are looking for the support from a number of confident and experienced volunteers to help them in developing their staff team and programmes.
Why do they need this training?
Nisarga’s work is essential to the fortunes of the local tribes and as such they have recognised several areas where training would allow them to better support the community.They have highlighted project management as an area for development, especially in regard to monitoring & reporting, the use of software to administer and manage projects and progress measuring tools.
Who would fit this role?
They are looking for a professional and experienced project manager, comfortable with implementing and managing an end to end project lifecycle.Knowledgeable in MS Office applications, they would be able to train both the basic use of Office programs with specific focus on the creation of monitoring and reporting documentation.

Nisarga are happy to accommodate two people and are open to two volunteers delivering the training.
